Labs & Training Centres
The College has excellent facilities for the food production department, comprising of three Kitchens namely, the Basic Training Kitchen (BTK), the Quantity Food Kitchen (QFK) and the Advanced Training Kitchen (ATK). Equipped with state of the art cooking ranges and all the modern facilities these food production labs are a student’s delight to work in. The kitchens of Chandigarh College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology are fully equipped with specialized equipment for our students to achieve desired results in the field of sugar confectionery and Couverture confectionery.
The two exclusive restaurants in the college, the Advanced Training Restaurant (Hot Cocoa) and the Basic Training Restaurant (BTR) are very aesthetically designed to give the students a feel of service in the fine dining environment as in any of the five star restaurants of the country. Adorned with the luxurious interiors along with all the modern service equipments and facilities, they act as valuable assets for the students to hone their service skills. Keeping in mind the changing trends and hi-tech approach in the food service operations, the students are imparted computer education as throughout the course curriculum.
The Deluxe Suite with its excellent and plush décor is the Hallmark of our quality infrastructure. Designed exactly as the Deluxe Suite of a five star hotel, it is used by the students to learn essential skills in housekeeping and accommodation operations. This extra spacious and smartly designed suite is designed to take guests comfort level to a whole new level.
Model Guest Room
The twin bedded model guest room is provided along with the deluxe suite for the beginners to learn the basic practical skills in the housekeeping operations. Students learn the primary skills like bed making, cleaning and up keeping in a hotel. The guest room is well laid out simulating the actual of a five star hotel environment. Also, it is furnished with furniture, fixtures, guest linen and other amenities.
CCHMCT has one of the region’s best, fully operational in house bakery and confectionary for its students. The students can do live training in the confectionary and bakery. Also, it is used to impart training among students to attain proficiency in bakery and encourage students to become entrepreneurs. The department trains the students in the art of making various types of breads, confectionaries like ice creams, cakes; pudding to make them specialized in this field.
library is Spacious
The hi-tech and well equipped library with a special Reference Section has an immense collection of the best books on hospitality and tourism. Apart from the regular collection, we have a number of e-books and online resources that act as a pivotal resource for the teachers as well as the students to enrich their knowledge. It is peaceful and spacious, facilitating the ideal atmosphere for knowledge along with improving communication skills.
The students have a dedicated conference hall at their disposal for comprehensive training in Personality Development and Group Discussions. Fully Air conditioned, the hall is equipped with the latest public address system and LCD projector and screen to facilitate guest lectures, discussions, presentations and seminars etc. ambience of the hall gives the feel of an international infrastructure to the audience.
The college has a dedicated Laundry Lab. Modeled on the lines of professional laundries in the big hotels; the Lab is fully equipped with high tech machines and washing equipments used in the hotel laundries. It is an important tool for the students to become skilled in the cleaning operations. This facility of our institute helps to remove the psychological barriers of students, when they get to work in the real industrial environment.
