About Diploma in Food Production

Short term courses in the area of food production aim at enhancing the skill sets of the students in a span of time. Within one year students are made to learn the nuances of food production. On completion of one year of regular classes and practical training in college, the students are sent for training in the hospitality and allied services sector. On successful completion of the training the students have the opportunity to work as regular employees. CCHMCT has the best placement record as every year large number of hospitality brands and hotels visit the campus to recruit our students. Some of the renowned hotels that visit the campus are Hyatt Regency, Taj Hotels, Kempinski Hotels, Lemon Tree, Jubilant Foods etc. The job opportunities in this segment exist not only within the country but there are ample opportunities abroad as well.

The students who have passed 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board are eligible to apply. The maximum age limit is 25 years. The students are selected through counseling conducted in second week of July.

Diploma in Food Production empowers the students with plenty of career opportunities. Upon completion of the diploma, the students can work as cook, chef, food suppliers, banquet manager, purchasing manager, and food production director. Diploma holders also get qualified for becoming Commis in hotels, restaurants, fast-food companies, and retail kitchens. Competent candidates can join aviation Flight Kitchens as cooks/chefs/commis etc. Various job opportunities are available in International and national fast-food chains, Hospital, Institutional catering, and Shipping and Cruise lines. The students also have an option of starting their own business.
